For us at Riddims and Raps, this moment is personal. Our relationship with Saintfloew stretches back to 2019, when his music echoed through our college smoke corners.
Looking at his full discography today tells the real story of a relentless worker whose rise from the ghetto to the high-end mainstream has been fueled by genuine grit.
From Hip Hop Broke My Heart Vol. 1 (2018) to Trap Yevafundisi (2024), Saintfloew has built a catalogue that reflects growth, pain, triumph, experimentation and the stubborn drive of an artist who deserves every inch of the success in his hands.
Gunda promises to continue that evolution. The album is expected to feature Sane Wav, Jah Signal, Mr Attention, Bagga, Gemma Griffiths and Runna Rulez, a lineup that blends hip hop energy with Zimbabwe’s vibrant dancehall and alternative sounds. This cross-genre collaboration mirrors our core mission: celebrating the coexistence and shared power of urban culture in Zimbabwe.
The Gunda Album Launch is set for 29 November at City Sports, bringing together a star-studded cast of hip hop and dancehall acts. It’s more than a concert, it’s a statement. A demonstration that Zimbabwean hip hop is not only here, but thriving alongside dancehall, building a unified cultural front for the youth.
