Harare, Zimbabwe — The Zimbabwe Hip Hop Awards (ZHHA) are officially back for their landmark 15th edition, set to take place on December 12, 2025, at Zimbali Gardens in Greendale, Harare. Brought to you by Liquor Supplies, this year’s event will run under the theme “Cultural Estate,” celebrating the growth, diversity, and resilience of Zimbabwean hip hop.

As Africa’s first and most prestigious hip hop awards, ZHHA continues to champion the country’s urban music culture by recognising the creativity, hustle, and impact of artists and cultural stakeholders across the nation.

“Our mission has always been to inspire, motivate and empower through the celebration of local artistry,” said Aldrian “Beefy” Harrison, founder and organiser of the awards. “This year’s edition reflects both our challenges and triumphs as a culture — we’ve come far, and there’s so much more ahead.”

Honouring Legends and Culture Shapers

Among this year’s highlights:

  • The Lifetime Achievement Award will go to Desmond “Stunner” Chideme, one of the genre’s foundational figures.

  • The awards will also honour the late Babongile Sikhonjwa posthumously for his invaluable contribution to the growth of hip hop culture. (As RiddimsAndRaps we would like to take this opportunity to respect the grind and pass our heartfelt condolences)

  • A campaign against drug abuse will be launched during the event and will run throughout the 2026 cycle, reflecting hip hop’s evolving social responsibility.
